Suggested Itineraries

Family Fun

Less rushing. More discovering. More time together.

A family trip doesn't have to mean choosing between what the children enjoy and what the adults actually want to do. Tobago gives you beaches, wildlife, rainforest, boat trips, food and hands-on experiences within one getaway — enough variety to keep everyone interested without turning the weekend into an endurance test.

Day 1

Welcome to Tobago

Get settled and keep the first day simple.

Take the family for an arrival photo, head to the beach for an easy swim and introduce everyone to Tobago with a relaxed local dinner.

Nobody needs an eight-stop itinerary after travelling.

Day 2

Reef Day

This is the Tobago classic.

Board a licensed glass-bottom boat, explore Buccoo Reef and make the trip out to Nylon Pool.

For children or family members who don't want to snorkel, the glass-bottom boat still gives them a window into the marine environment without requiring them to enter the water.

Finish the afternoon with beach time and give everybody permission to do absolutely nothing.

Day 3

Tobago's Wild Side

Go green.

Meet rescued native wildlife at Corbin Local Wildlife, head towards Argyle Waterfall, or introduce younger travellers to Tobago's birdlife through one of the island's hummingbird experiences.

Turn the drive itself into part of the day: stop for fruit, take photographs and let the family experience Tobago beyond the resort.

Day 4

Make Something Together

End with an experience everybody gets to take home.

Try a pottery workshop, explore Tobago's cocoa story, browse locally made crafts or find a market for snacks and keepsakes before departure.

A family holiday ends eventually. The stories don't have to.

Three nights can still become the trip they talk about all year.

Girlfriends Getaway

The group chat said Tobago. It's time to actually go.

Some trips are for switching off. Others are for turning up. A girls' getaway in Tobago gives you room for both. Think warm water, unforgettable photo stops, a little adventure, good food, something creative, something indulgent and enough time between it all to simply enjoy being together. Three nights. Four days. No overthinking required.

Day 1

Touch Down & Turn Up

Get checked in, change out of the travel clothes and start collecting memories immediately.

Make your first stop at the I Love Tobago sign or begin adding a few stops from the Tobago Selfie Trail to the camera roll. Then settle into your accommodation, find somewhere for dinner and ease into your first Tobago night.

If the energy is still there, keep the evening going with drinks and a Tobago lime.

Today's mood: arrive, eat, catch up, look good doing it.
Day 2

Soft Adventure, Serious Memories

Start the morning with a proper Tobago breakfast before trading the usual beach chair for something worth talking about.

Ride horseback through the shallows, choose a guided watersports experience or make the camera roll ridiculous with a glass-bottom kayak experience and aerial photoshoot.

Afterwards? Slow things all the way down.

Book a massage or island-inspired wellness treatment, get dressed for the evening and watch the coastline turn gold on a sunset sail.

Day 3

Island Girl Energy

Today, get beyond Crown Point.

Head through the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, stop for rainforest views, follow the island east and make room for experiences such as Argyle Waterfall, the Tobago Cocoa Estate or Shurland's Nature Park.

Stop when somewhere looks beautiful. Buy fruit from a roadside stall. Find a local lunch. Take the picture.

Day 4

One for the Carry-On

Keep the final morning easy.

Book a pottery experience, make a candle, browse locally made keepsakes or simply find one last Tobago breakfast before heading home.

Leave with something you made, something you bought and several hundred photographs nobody has posted yet.

The girls' trip doesn't need another six months in the group chat.

Tobago for Two

A few days away. A little more time for each other.

You don't need an anniversary, honeymoon or elaborate excuse to disappear together. Tobago makes it easy to build a few days around the things everyday life doesn't always leave enough room for: slow mornings, beautiful meals, shared adventure, warm water, sunset and absolutely nowhere else you need to be.

Day 1

Just Us Two

Check in. Put the phones down for a minute.

Start the getaway with a sunset sail or choose somewhere beautiful for drinks as the light changes.

Then turn dinner into the main event: find an intimate table, linger over the meal and don't make plans for afterwards unless you feel like it.

Day 2

Adventure for Two

Get outside together.

Ride horseback through the shallows, find a quiet cove, snorkel clear water or choose another guided sea adventure.

Then balance the movement with a couples' spa treatment or slow afternoon before dinner.

Day 3

Take the Scenic Route

Spend the day seeing another side of Tobago.

Drive through the Main Ridge, stop for viewpoints, explore the cocoa story, find somewhere unexpected for lunch and let the road lead you towards Tobago's quieter coast.

Come back in time for sunset.

Day 4

Take Something With You

Make the final morning personal.

Create a candle together. Try your hands at pottery. Plan a picnic. Find a quiet breakfast spot. Take one last photograph somewhere beautiful.

The trip doesn't need a grand finale. Just one last moment that feels like yours.

Your next long weekend already has two seats reserved.

Go Hard or Go Home

Adventure first. Lime later. Repeat as necessary.

Day 1

Land. Link Up. Lime.

Drop the bags. Grab something local to eat. Find something cold to drink.

Your first night isn't about scheduling every minute — it's about getting everyone together and starting the weekend properly.

Find a local bar, follow the energy and ease into Tobago.

Day 2

Earn the Lime

Start early.

Take on a guided Main Ridge rainforest hike, get onto a mountain-bike trail or head for Argyle Waterfall. Then move from land to sea with a guided watersports session.

By late afternoon, you've earned the slower part of the day.

Good food. Drinks. Sunset. Repeat.

Day 3

Out at Sea

Take the boys offshore.

Book a deep-sea fishing trip, coastal boat experience or marine excursion before finding somewhere to swim and reset afterwards.

If conditions and timing line up, take the adventure into the night with a guided bioluminescence experience.

And if your long weekend includes Sunday? Save some energy for Buccoo Sunday School — steelpan first, DJ and lime later.

Day 4

Take the Long Way Back

Don't spend the last morning waiting around to leave.

Take the road east, chase a viewpoint, stop at Speyside Lookout or Flagstaff Hill, find a local lunch and squeeze in one last swim before the airport.

No elaborate send-off required.

Just one more Tobago story for the group chat.

The long weekend is already on the calendar. Now give the boys somewhere to go.

Consider this your starting point, not a checklist. Tobago changes with the weather, the sea, the season and the people you meet along the way. Book time-sensitive experiences ahead, leave room to change your plans, and choose licensed or reputable local operators for guided activities.
