With volcanic landscapes on one side and beautiful white sand beaches on the other it’s the perfect location for weddings large and small.
Intimate Weddings
Castara Retreats
Castara Retreats is one of the best known hotels in Tobago for an intimate wedding experience. You can truly experience the real Tobago here with the Caribbean Sea on one side and rainforests on the other, with a stunning beach just below.
Owned by UK couple Steve and Sue, their team has been praised for its attention to detail and getting everything exactly right for the big day. You’ll be in the very best hands and they’ll support you in planning the perfect itinerary.
Plantation Beach Villas
Plantation Beach Villas can be found in a gated estate overlooking the Caribbean Sea. In close proximity to the airport, these villas are perfect for small, bijoux weddings. The villas are a stone’s throw from Stonehaven Bay, where turtles lay their eggs during nesting season. During your stay you’ll likely see and hear the most beautiful wild parakeets.

Facts & Traditions
- There are four types of marriages recognised in Tobago: civil, Muslim, Hindu and Orisa (another style of Hindu wedding).
- It’s tradition for the guests to eat some light refreshments after the ceremony and before the big meal, as they wait for bride and groom. They’re usually contained in a colourful box with a baked chicken leg, a sandwich, a slice of black or sponge cake and a small pastry.
