These were the words of Aaron Henry, Director of Beverly’s Oasis Suites, while discussing the impact the Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Industry Certification (TTTIC) Programme has had on the property. As the national quality assurance programme for the tourism industry, TTTIC assesses whether tourism operators meet national tourism quality standards and thus provides a level of assurance to visitors that certified tourism operators have achieved minimum acceptable levels of service in their operations.

How has the TTTIC Programme improved your operations? 

I have been a Hotel Operator for the past eighteen (18) years, and I can say that the process of obtaining certification has raised my awareness, as well as taught me about the requirements to operate my hotel from not only an industry standard, but also from an HS.S.E. perspective. Having gone through this process, which has encouraged us to not only raise but to also maintain our standards, we have also been able to learn from best practices. Therefore, I can safely and proudly say that Beverly’s Oasis Suites is a safer and more compliant hotel.

 

How has TTTIC added credibility to your business? 

TTTIC has added credibility to Beverly’s in numerous ways. Our primary benefit has been that the Hotel’s reputation has been boosted by us attaining this certification, as it shows our commitment to excellence. Furthermore, it differentiates us from our competitors as we can use the TTTIC logo and certificate to promote the Hotel on our website, marketing materials and social media platforms. Additionally, through TTTIC we are able to provide our customers with a reliable and consistent display of quality service and our customers can see that they can trust Beverly’s as we have met the Hotel industry’s standards. This will in turn result in repeat bookings, referrals and new customers.
